4-H Camp Piedmont has several job openings for the summer of 2012.  We are seeking applicants for three lifeguards, two custodian/dishwashers, and three kitchen assistants/cooks/dishwashers.  Please apply prior to April 15.

Lifeguards are responsible for supervising the pool and waterfront activities, keeping the pool and waterfront areas clean, recording water temperatures and chemical readings, securing the boats on shore at all times. If and when time permits they may be asked to assist with custodial, dishwasher, or assistant cook duties. Applicants must provide copies of their current lifeguard certification for pool and waterfront, a CPR certification, and a First Aid certification card with their completed application.

The custodian/dishwashers will be responsible for keeping the campgrounds, including the cabins, dining hall, kitchen, conference room, recreation hall, craft hall, campfire pits, offices, restrooms, shower houses, laundry room, and activities room clean plus do dishes after meals.

The kitchen assistant/cook/dishwasher will assist the head cook with preparing meals, clean-up, dishwashing, food deliveries, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, sweeping and mopping floors. Cooks must be able to work alone and cook in the absence of the head cook.

All applicants have to pass an annual Criminal Background Check and be able to work well with others. Prefer applicants to be 18 years of age or older who can work through most of June and July. Applications can be requested by e-mailing camppiedmont@copper.net or calling Donna at (740) 658-3471.

Internship Opportunities are available and recommended for undergraduate and/or graduate students majoring in Outdoor Education, Recreation, Environmental Education, Park and Resource Management, Education, Social Work, Youth Ministries, or other related fields.  We will work with you and your advisor to tailor a program that meets educational requirements.
